Welding
With 8 coded welders, welding forms a vital part of Engments Ltd.'s production capacity.
With the ever increasing demands placed on the welding function, all of our welders undergo annual proof testing, as does all our main equipment. All of this is required by the relevant British Standards to which we strictly adhere.
We weld a huge variety of materials and specialise in aluminium alloy and steel and stainless steel alloys, although we do have the ability to weld other items, such as cast iron.
We undertake safety critical welding work for the rail industry and regularly weld parts in stainless steel for nuclear components. Where appropriate, our welders are required to be subject to annual health checks to ensure their continuing suitability to undertake this high responsibility work.
Whilst the bulk of our work is in materials from 3mm to 12mm thick, we are happy to weld from as thin at 0.5mm up to 40mm thick.
Much of our welding work is undertaken as part of the in-house manufacturing of parts, and is integrated to our other areas such as machining and sheet metal work/fabrication. We are, however, happy to undertake welding work on your own components and have our own facilities for weld preparation and shot blasting.
We would welcome your enquiries, however small.
