Precision Machining
Engments Ltd. has extensive precision machining facilities both for small volume parts and for large quantities of components.
A comprehensively equipped tool room manufactures high precision and general items using conventional machine tools including lathes for turned parts, milling machines (both vertical and horizontal), surface grinding, single spindle automatic lathe work, drilling, tapping, boring etc.
We are happy to produce small volume parts, including single prototypes.
A CNC machine shop with full CAM programming assistance provides machining centres and turning for larger parts, more complex items, and higher volume components.
Machining centres provide capacities of up to 1 metre travel (in X axis), with much larger parts being accomodated, depending on length and type.
Examples of work include precision Stainless Steel parts for the nuclear industry, rail vehicle seat components, bronze windows for the Houses of Parliament office extension building and lorry structural items.
The machining department integrates with other production areas for parts to be supplied to you complete, welded, painted etc., where items form part of a more complex assembly.
